How do I feel today?

June 3, 2008 by Vikram Hazra 16 Comments

What are my feelings dependent on? They could change rapidly, yet some could linger interminably giving a continuous aftertaste ๐Ÿ™‚ One could be in the most depressing place feeling elated, or in paradise feeling down.

The mind is such an intricate mechanism, playing tricks on us each moment – a word from someone is enough to sour the entire day. Two questions: is there a way to feel light, pleasant and fulfilled all the time? And is there an absolute state beyond feelings which does not vary even in the slightest? The first would require real knowledge, skill and practice; the second, just realization!
