The other night we had a long discussion about the future of the country — Bumpy (our bassist) had some heartfelt issues stemming from a series of intense experiences of rioting and mob violence, seen from a window overlooking the scene.
Saw the movie A Wednesday this afternoon, and it echoed many of the sentiments we discussed. The common man is resilient, not servile; passive, but not passionless; observant, not obtuse — there is a point beyond which he cannot be pushed.
Wonder how RK Laxman would draw him if he were here today?
Its time to give credit to the common man, and to remind the so-called terror-mongers that its only a matter of time before a threshold number of intelligent people make the right choice….
