The Bangalore Ashram

June 1, 2008 by Vikram Hazra 2 Comments

At various points in time, we have called it our home, our ranch, our study centre, charging station, rural getaway, laboratory…..but the Ashram in Bangalore is best experienced as the vibrations that permeate its every inch. A sense of peace, knowledge, depth and serenity, with an underlying tone of intensity, boundless freedom and compassion touches everyone who spends even a few minutes here. I have seen hard-boiled skeptics, movie stars, scientists, musicians and devotees alike, slowly ease into smiles, then wonder, then familiarity, then ownership. As Guruji says, This is your home, and you are not allowed to take any of your troubles back with you, leave them here. Its particularly pretty in the rain, of course the woodland creatures like frogs, snails, leeches, scorpions and snakes are out in full force, joining the hordes of birds, squirrels and even a few monkeys who raise a buzz every morning!
