Scores of magenta waterlilies bask on a miniature lake, bordered by a garden with plants of every variety. Huge bullfrogs float motionless in a concrete watertank. Their neighbours, the water snakes are hidden in the dark depths. We stroll through arbours, hemmed by row upon row of neatly potted flowers — raatrani, kamini, mogra, rose, […]
Realization!
Ummm… how do I say this…. I thought I had a fairly large wardrobe; lots of Indian clothes for teaching, nice kurta-pyjamas for satsangs; dhotis for pujas and ashram, formal office wear for our corporate training programs, and of course lots of sportswear and casuals. Congratulations Aditi and Aakash
Yes that’s my baby sister Aditi, whose wedding was on the 24th; Tina and I were the proud brother and bhabhi at their simple, romantic celebrations at the Renaissance at Powai, and it’s a joy to welcome Dr Aakash Ganju into the family.

A certain person was always hesitant to have him on her shoulder, but she seems to have gotten over that apprehension now 🙂
Going to the zoo
While in Baroda last weekend, I just had to take Tina to one of my all-time favourite haunts — the Sayaji Baug zoo! I practically lived there on my holidays; it’s a wonder they didn’t give me an honorary cage 🙂 This coincided with a humongous Gerald Durell fixation (“My Family and Other Animals” and […]
Bringing back the Gandhian philosophy
A nice article from AOL’s press bureau: As the world observes the International Day of Non-Violence on October 2 to commemorate the 139th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, we stand at a point in time when the world needs his ideals of non-violence and peace more than ever. Who will bring back the value of […]
