A day among the living

November 9, 2008 by Vikram Hazra 5 Comments

Scores of magenta waterlilies bask on a miniature lake, bordered by a garden with plants of every variety. Huge bullfrogs float motionless in a concrete watertank. Their neighbours, the water snakes are hidden in the dark depths. We stroll through arbours, hemmed by row upon row of neatly potted flowers — raatrani, kamini, mogra, rose, hibiscus….

This is a beautiful nursery at the Bhavan’s College campus in andheri, mumbai, and I’m truly amazed at not having discovered this oasis earlier. Adding to the ambience is the utter simplicity and honesty of Charudutt, the caretaker. Its lovely just to know that such people exist in this day and age; sorry I didn’t hv my camera with me that day – will go back later and send yu some pics.

Now this is why I shd get a small camera which I can carry 24/7; hv already set my greedy gaze on the panasonic lumix lx3 :))

Bhaiya, do you have a place where one can view more of your pics? Just looking at them would be a treat, and a great learning tool for amateurs.
